Week ending 5-13-11 - Last full week in McBee, SC
A celebratory weekend in Chapel Hill, NC:

Nancy Jordan, refuge wildlife biologist climbing an RCW cavity tree to extract chicks for banding and future monitoring.
7 day old RCW chicks - on days 6-7 their feathers start to form under the skin, creating those dark tracks along their wings and backs.
