Week 10-20--26 thru 11-3--9-12 - Colorado

Week 10-20--26-12 - Glenwood Springs, and Boulder, CO:

Thousands of [aptly named] oystershell scale insects cover the smooth bark of an aspen. These immobile insects feed on the nutrients transported in the live cambium below, and en masse can ultimately kill a tree.
